In this study, an attempt has been made to survey the wildflowers that are present in the Garret Mountain parks, and to learn which habitats and places may be of particular value or concern.

GOALS
1. To learn which native plant species are present in the parks. Understanding which wildflowers are thriving can help guide decisions for conservation and future plantings.
2. To assess which areas and habitats have the greatest species richness and are of particular importance to preserve. Follow up studies should focus in these areas.
3. To discover any rare or unusual plants that might still be present in the parks, and to assess any habitats that might support such plants. These areas would also be of importance to preserve and may be in need of greater protection. Follow up studies should focus in these areas as well.
4. To provide a general survey of the mountain’s flora, which can be used for future comparisons.
