Garret Mountain Butterfly Garden

Conceived and created during the Covid Pandemic, the Garret Mountain Butterfly Garden represents another successful collaboration between the Friends of Garret Mountain Reservation and the Passaic County Parks Department.

Butterfly Garden Open Hours
Weather permitting, the Garret Mountain Butterfly Garden open hours:
June 29th through Sept 22nd 2024
Wednesday 8:30am to 12:30pm
Saturday 9am to 5pm
Sunday 9am to 5pm


“Volunteer Planting Day” at the Garret Mountain Butterfly Garden! 
Sunday May 18th 9:00am to 10:30am

Annual plants from  Clifton Garden Club have arrived.   We will plant, mulch, and weed.   Bring garden gloves and a small shovel if you have one available.  The ground might be muddy.  So wear rubber boots or footwear suitable for muddy conditions.

Meet by the Tower Picnic Parking Area.
After you pass the stables, there’s a Tower Picnic sign on the left.
